The Coal Mining Museum, Zabrze, Poland
September 26th – 27th 2019
The 501 Art Space Building, an old cigarette factory located on the Yangtze River in Chongqing, China is located in the immediate vicinity of a coal-fired power plant. The coal dust on the windows of the building – some of it obvieusly decases old – was influenced by rain, sun and wind. The photographs document the transformation of depositions of manufacturing processes into recognizable representations of people and landscapes.
